Two things I can't live without...My Janome Sew Mini sewing machine and etsy. As I was talking up my little sew mini with a friend yesterday, I was thinking about the MANY hours I have spent with the little machine and how good it has been to me. I purchased it about a year ago at Hancock Fabric for $50....the best $5o bucks I have ever spent. After more sewing projects than I can count...it is still going strong. It is small, simple and easy to use. Although the master seamstresses out there may beg to differ that a bigger fancier machine would be better, I am very content with my little Janome. I bought it originally to applique and a year later I have made paci holders, diaper carriers, shorts, dresses, shirts, shoes and the list goes on. AND to etsy...what I saved buying my sewing machine I have spent at etsy.com. The MOST fabulous site for all things handmade. I browse for hours telling myself I don't need the little stuffed felt owl with big green eyes that I am staring at on the screen...I mean, what would I do with him anyway? But somehow, a week or so later he mysteriously shows up at my door. Lately I have been buying patterns on etsy. They are cheaper than at a fabric store...they are emailed overnight in a pdf format...and most of them have fabulous pictures (which I much prefer), step-by-step instructions and printable pattern pieces. Etsy...I heart you. Great patterns from etsy that I have purchased lately... ruffle bloomers reversable dress romper pattern knot dress ruffle pants mary jane shoes pattern
My creations from today thanks to etsy and Janome....
